With twelve halls and more than 110,000 square meters of exhibition space, RAI Amsterdam is the largest exhibition venue in the Netherlands. It has grown over decades, resulting in a variety of hall types. The Europahal is completely different from the glass-fronted Elicium building, and what works in one hall may not work in another. A Cardboard Exhibition Stand for PAPSTAR at Horecava
Sometimes the material itself is the message. PAPSTAR has been producing paper plates and paper bowls from wood-based materials since 1873. For their 60-square-meter presence at Horecava, we designed and built an exhibition stand entirely from cardboard.
At the client's request, we developed a custom plug-in construction system. The elements can be assembled without tools, are fully printable, and can therefore be adapted to any exhibition theme. The system was used specifically for the PAPSTAR Pure product line, a range of sustainable disposable products.
The stand was not just a backdrop for the message, it was the message itself: products made from renewable raw materials can replace conventional disposable items. At a hospitality trade fair where exhibitors compete for attention among coffee machines and refrigeration systems, such an approach leaves a lasting impression.
